#ManilArt2015: Mayroong Forever sa Art

Last October 10, 2015, was the 2nd day of #ManilArtFair2015 held in SMX Convention Center, MOA. Upon entering the event, we've seen different types of Art expressed by different artists. Each artist has their own signature mark to distinguish themselves from one another. I have heard people chattering about "what is this?” "Ano bang gustong sabihin nung painter/artist?" and "Maganda sya, pero hindi ko ma-gets" With this, I've came up to a conclusion that many people loves visualization. But for me, art becomes art when you know what the artist wants to convey. Just a simple splash of paints becomes an art when you know the message of the artist.

An art is something that lasts. Seeing all the paintings at the art fair made me remember of the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, The Scream by Edvard Munch, and the Vitruvian Man also by Leonardo Da Vinci. Art has the power to inspire everyone and continuously makes everyone express themselves.

TRULY SPECTACULAR

"Raising The Philippine Colors on the World Stage"

Last Saturday, October 10, 2015, was truly a spectacular day for us
only for me but also for my blockmates, it's really overwhelming to see artworks
that was made by our own fellowmen, by a fellow Filipino. Big thanks to our professor
for letting us experience this kind of event that really made us proud!

As we enter inside the convention center, we were welcomed by these amazing artworks, this
sets our mood and expectation that this place is really filled with a one of a kind crafts and artworks.

"Still looking for the missing pieces to complete me"

The funny thing I remember about this display is that when I heard a kid asking his mom
"Mommy, why is she only wearing bra?" then her mom replied "Anak of all the thing, bakit yung bra pa niya yung napansin mo?" (what a sneaky kid, LOL )

This section is probably my favorite because of unordinary paintings with a little
touch of modernity.

Here are some of the paintings that really catched my attention:
(and I named them on my own)

"What a girl wants?"

"Lust and love"

"Menemist"

"The modern day sleeping beauty"

:

"I scream for justice"

"Insecurity kills"

After spending almost an hour and a half of roaming around the convention center
I can say it's truly worth it, all the time, money and effort we spent in going here was
really paid off by those amazing artworks and crafts. I'm looking forward to attend
more Art Exhibits in the near future.

We scream for ice crean!!!!!!!

"Raising The Filipino Colors On  World Stage"

This is the largest and most comprehensive visual arts fair in thePhilippines.
Different countries from around the world such as Malaysia, France and Singapore are joining this event that happens once a year. Many artists showcase their proudly made art in this event , some are looking if they could exchange their work of art for a rightful price of money, while others did only for attraction to the guests. I , myself witnessed lot and lots of stunning artworks like figurative, kinetic, abstract, and conceptual arts made by different masters of art.Critics, kids, photographers, students, teachers, businessman, foreigners and many more attended this 4-day event at the SMX convention center ,SM Aura premier at Bonifacio Global City.

The event was made possible by Bonafide Art Galleries Organization (BAGO) and the National Commission for Culture and the Art. One of the goal of this event is to promote extraordinary and beautiful Filipino talents , to discover modern kinds of  innovative artworks and also connect them to an eager market.

One more thing about this glorious event , the public can readily view and appreciate all the artworks displayed in this event.

Here are some pictures of  wonderful artworks shown in the event. (All pictures are taken by myself)

Masterpiece in ManilArt

Masterpiece in ManilArt
By: Ruee Minardo

It was my first time to attend exhibits in a convention center and I find it very interesting. The whole ManilArt experience in Taguig amazed and struck me for its wondrous masterpieces. Everything was compact and relevant. I also learned so much from this experience. Before, I didn't know the difference of pastel and acrylic. I also realized that there are also mise-en-scenes in the painting just like the arranged marriage that was displayed there. Another section that was seeked my attention was the three dimensional artworks that was actually hand painted. I also loved the artwork that has Swarovskis in it. Those crafts were magnificent so I wasn't really shocked when the tour guide said their worth when they were auctioned. I also enjoyed looking at the warped paintings wherein they stretch an icons faces. Examples were Mona Lisa, Marilyn Monroe, Whisler's Mother and Scream. It made the painting very cutesy which I liked. I appreciate Filipino artists who never stops creating and expressing their feelings and emotions in the name of art. They should be honored and they should be an inspiration.
